Installation Process

Step 1: Removing The Fender Liners
  1. To begin the installation process, it is essential to remove the fender liners. This can be achieved by carefully removing the 11 10-millimeter bolts and one speed clip.

Step 2: Removing The Bumper And Headlights
  1. Next, you need to remove the bumper and headlights to access the DRL components. Start by removing the 12 7-millimeter bolts across the bottom of the bumper. Pop the hood and remove the six speed clips from the fender liner covers. Remove the hood gasket, and then proceed to remove the 10 10-millimeter bolts across the top of the bumper.

Step 3: Dismantling The Headlight Assembly
  1. With the headlight assembly removed, it is time to dismantle the components necessary for installing the DRL boards. Remove the three T20 screws holding in the heat sink and pull the heat sink away from the headlight. Next, unplug the factory DRL and remove the two T10 screws.

Step 4: Installing the New LED DRL Boards
  1. Take the new LED daytime running light boards and replace them with the original ones. Make sure they are secure and tight. Once the LED daytime running light boards are in position, reconnect the connectors to the new boards. Double check that all connections are secure to ensure proper functionality.

Step 5: Installing The Bluetooth controller
  1. This step is only for the RGB+w varinat! To properly control the light of the DRL boards, it is necessary to install the Bluetooth controller. Place the controller in the engine compartment, using either double-sided adhesive or zip ties to secure it to the underside of the core support.

Step 6: Reassembling The Headlight Assembly
  1. With the DRL boards and LED driver installed, reassemble the headlight assembly by reconnecting the main headlight connector and putting the headlight back into place.

Step 7: Reinstalling The Bumper
  1. In the final step, reattach the bumper to the car. Place the bumper back on the car, ensuring a proper fit, and plug back in the sensor harnesses.
